Volunteer Information
Dear Friends, Neighbors, Educators,
It is time once again to ask for your help in assisting children with pioneer crafts and games at the Living History Village at Hedges-Boyer Park in Tiffin during the Tiffin-Seneca Heritage Festival.
The annual Ohio Heritage School Day will be held for fourth grade students on Friday, September 19 from 9-1:35. We are expecting over five-hundred students from Tiffin City and Parochial and other Seneca County schools to attend with their teachers. They will enjoy learning about life in the 1800’s from a variety of presentations and activities. More opportunities are provided for all ages during the festival weekend when the Village is open to the public.
Many have enjoyed volunteering in the past, and we hope we can count on you again this year. Please share this request and our contact information with anyone you think might like to help for an hour or two between 11am and 5 pm on Saturday, September 20 or Sunday, September 21. A lot of our volunteers enjoy dressing as pioneers or in other vintage clothing which is especially appreciated, but it is not required. We can arrange to waive the $3 weekend gate charge for our volunteers. Please contact us to schedule soon!
Jim and I enjoy our role in planning for this exciting annual event and we truly value everyone’s help. It is a joy to see so many children united at the Festival Village celebrating pride in home and learning about their heritage. Please give us a call or email soon to let us know when you can help. Thank you ever so much!
